[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Cross-chain infrastructure platform Squid has integrated Ripple stablecoin RLUSD.
According to a report by The Block, users can convert assets on other blockchains into RLUSD in a single transaction, or swap RLUSD into other assets, without going through multiple steps.
Squid said its routing layer links RLUSD to more than 100 blockchains and more than 20,000 tokens. Assets such as USDC, USDT, ETH and XRP can be swapped directly into RLUSD without separate bridging, token wrapping or multi-step trades.
RLUSD is issued on XRP Ledger and Ethereum and expands to Ethereum layer2 networks such as the XRPL EVM sidechain, Optimism, Base, Ink and Unichain through the Wormhole Native Token Transfers standard. Squid explained that it supports swapping RLUSD regardless of how a token is issued on a particular chain.
Squid said, "You can move multiple coins quickly and cheaply across all supported chains using intents and swaps," and added, "We are also developing payment and trading widgets and an SDK for Ripple developers and partners."
