U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has launched an on-chain DEX trading feature on its main mobile app.
The Block reported recently that users can use the feature to access thousands of tokens in the Solana ecosystem. Kraken plans to expand its DEX service to other ecosystems.
Kraken said, "By integrating DEX functions directly into the core app, users can access early-stage token markets without leaving a familiar environment or managing separate tools."
Kraken’s on-chain DEX trading feature is based on embedded wallet technology provided by Privy and major Solana DEX protocols. DEX-based assets appear on Kraken’s portfolio screen alongside existing assets and can be traded through a standard buy-and-sell interface. Users can buy these assets using USD or USDC balances.
Before Kraken, OKX, Bybit and Binance also launched in-wallet DEX portals. Coinbase last year directly integrated DEX trading into its main platform through aggregators including 0x and 1inch.
