Hecto Group is running a health promotion programme called the 'One Year Off Challenge' as part of efforts to help employees build healthy lifestyle habits.
The company said the programme focuses on maintaining a healthy physical condition and consistently exercising rather than losing weight.
It links body-age measurement with monthly exercise missions, aiming to help participants check changes in their bodies on their own and naturally build exercise habits in daily life.
Hecto Group installed an in-house 3D body scanning device called Outbody to run the challenge. Outbody scans the body in 3D to visualise body shape and posture and analyses personal body age based on the measured data. Employees take an initial body-age measurement in May, carry out exercise missions for three months and then check changes through a second measurement in August.
The challenge runs from May to July with monthly themed exercise methods. In May, it supports building exercise habits through stretching. In June, it encourages improved lower-body strength and basal metabolic rate through stair climbing. In July, it supports improving core and lower-body strength through a squat mission. Employees verify their daily exercise records through a personal verification page, and a special reward is given when they reach 100 cumulative verifications.
Hecto Group has continuously run various workplace culture programmes to promote employee health. It runs the Ttubuk Point scheme, which provides welfare points based on step counts. If an employee achieves 15,000 steps a day and up to 200,000 steps a month, the company provides welfare points in proportion to the number of steps. It has also operated a team-based walking programme called Ttubuk Together for six years to boost communication among members.
Hecto Group also holds an annual companywide walking event called the Ttubuk Ttubuk Challenge (TtuTtu Chal). The company plans to expand the scope of its health programmes beyond walking-focused initiatives to include building exercise habits through the 'One Year Off Challenge.'
A Hecto Group official said employee health is an important foundation linked to the organisation's sustainable growth. The official said the challenge is not a one-off event but a participatory programme designed to help members naturally build healthy habits in daily life and practise them together. The official added that the company plans to continue strengthening employee experience through a health culture practised together.
