XRP Ledger (XRPL) is strengthening its presence in the real-world assets (RWA) market on rapid growth. It took about 15 months for tokenised assets to expand from $10 million to $400 million, marking a faster pace than Ethereum (ETH) over the same interval.

On June 1, blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that Evernodes analysed XRPL’s growth trend in the tokenised asset market in a recent report.

The report showed XRPL took 14.9 months for tokenised assets to grow from $10 million to $400 million. XRPL’s tokenised asset value rose from about $10 million in January 2025 to above $400 million in April 2026.

By contrast, Ethereum took 35.9 months to reach the same level. Ethereum’s tokenised asset market expanded from about $10 million in September 2018 to $400 million in September 2021.

Evernodes assessed the figures as showing tokenisation activity on XRPL is rising rapidly. BankXRP, an XRP community influencer, also shared the data and highlighted XRPL’s growth potential.

XRPL also outpaced major rival networks in growth since the start of the year. Evernodes data showed XRPL’s tokenised asset value is up 78 percent this year. The market size expanded to about $404 million from about $227 million at the start of the year.

Over the same period, Ethereum increased to $18.66 billion from $13.8 billion, but its growth rate was limited to 36 percent. Its absolute scale is much larger, but XRPL led in growth speed.

Market dominance remains overwhelmingly with Ethereum. Based on RWA.xyz, Ethereum has about $16.8 billion in tokenised assets and remains No. 1 in the overall market. XRPL ranks 10th globally with about $404.4 million.

Rank shifts against rival networks over the past year have also stood out. In May last year, XRPL’s tokenised assets stood at about $116 million, smaller than Aptos ($120 million), Mantle ($148 million) and Algorand ($304 million).

XRPL has since grown to about $404 million, overtaking those networks. Tokenised assets on Aptos and Algorand fell to about $64.9 million and $70.9 million, respectively, while Mantle expanded to $258 million but remained below XRPL.

The overall tokenisation market is also growing rapidly. Among blockchains with tokenised assets of $200 million or more, Sei recorded the fastest expansion this year with 858 percent growth. Plume grew 366 percent, zkSync Era 361 percent and Stellar 131 percent.

The industry sees tokenised assets emerging as a key growth engine for the blockchain sector, with competition among networks expected to intensify. XRPL stands out in growth speed and rate of increase, but a wide gap with Ethereum remains in market size.

A key point to watch is how much XRPL can narrow the gap with leading tokenisation networks if it maintains its current growth momentum.
