[DigitalToday reporter Hyunwoo Choo] Solo indie developer Syphono4 and publisher Future Friends Games officially released the space incremental game "Starvester - Harvester of Stars" on May 29 on PC platform Steam.
"Starvester" is an automation and growth game in which players deploy swarms of drones to automate resource mining. Players harvest energy from stars and celestial bodies to complete massive megastructures on a stellar-system scale. Players gather resources to unlock upgrades and use a prestige system to build more efficient production systems with each repeated playthrough.
The game recorded more than 50,000 Steam wishlist adds even before its release. It drew attention among content creators from the demo stage and attracted interest from fans of the automation and incremental genres.
The campaign playtime is about 5 hours to complete, and it is designed so players can enjoy the fun of automation, expansion and numerical growth in a compact way without long, repetitive play. The developers also officially said they did not use AI at all during production.
The launch price is 7,600 won. A 10 percent launch discount applies, bringing the current price to 6,840 won. It supports 10 languages, including Korean.
