APR has started recruiting key talent to internalise beauty tech. The company said on May 14 it posted openings for experienced hires in home beauty device research and development and in manufacturing and procurement. It aims to build a fully internalised system that handles the entire process in-house, from planning to development and production.

In R&D, it is hiring experienced staff for mechanical design of home beauty devices. The hires will oversee overall development, including product design, performance verification and quality improvements. The recruitment also covers EBD (energy-based device) medical devices and skinbooster segments being prepared as new businesses. In the medical device segment, the role covers the full development process from planning to design, verification and mass production. In the skinbooster segment, the role is expected to handle development of products based on bioabsorbable polymers.

It is also hiring manufacturing and procurement staff in parallel to stabilise its production system. The manufacturing roles will oversee overall production operations for beauty devices, including production planning, quality control and process improvements. The procurement roles will handle supply of raw and subsidiary materials and finished products needed for cosmetics and beauty device production, and will also take part in upgrading supply chain operations based on its in-house production plant.

An APR official said the hiring is aimed at securing R&D and production capabilities to strengthen technological competitiveness. The official added that the company will boost competitiveness in the beauty tech sector and lay the foundation for mid- to long-term growth through ongoing R&D investment and talent recruitment.
