[DigitalToday reporter Seulgi Son] South Korean online video service (OTT) TVING said on May 11 that it operated its first overseas offline booth at KCON Japan 2026, held in Japan from May 8 to 10. About 120,000 visitors attended the event.
KCON is a K-pop-focused global K-festival hosted by CJ ENM, where visitors can experience Korean lifestyle offerings such as K-beauty, food and content.
At a train station-themed booth, TVING ran a game zone and photo zone featuring its originals "Yumi's Cells Season 3" and "Become a Legend in the Cooking Unit". Special giveaway goods were quickly exhausted over the three days.
The on-site success is also carrying over into global results. "Yumi's Cells Season 3" ranked third on Disney Plus in Japan for 2 consecutive weeks, as of its second week after release.
A TVING official said, "It was meaningful to directly confirm the interest global K-drama fans showed in TVING content," and added, "We will expand global awareness based on our content competitiveness."
