Exodus has launched a Solana-based stablecoin called XO Cash and a payment tool for AI agents with MoonPay.
Cointelegraph reported on Thursday that the system introduced by Exodus is designed to allow AI agents to make payments and use services without directly controlling private keys.
Developers can create agent-linked wallets and set spending limits. They can also issue a virtual debit card connected to the Visa payment network.
XO Cash links with Exodus Pay. Using an accompanying software development kit, users can move funds into an AI agent wallet using their Exodus Pay balance. Custody rights over private keys are maintained in the process. Each agent wallet can have separate settings for transaction caps, merchant restrictions and daily spending limits.
AI agents can pay at Visa merchants through Monavate and MoonPay infrastructure. At the time of payment, funds are automatically converted into stablecoins such as Circle's USDC and Tether's USDT. Exodus said XO Cash transactions have no fees and are optimised for high-frequency automated payments.
