MegazoneCloud said on Sunday it won a contract to upgrade Korea National Railway's construction management system, forming a consortium with HumanPlus, Gonggam IT and AENIAsOFT to move the system to the cloud and build a data-driven integrated management framework.
The MegazoneCloud consortium will carry out tasks set out by Korea National Railway, including implementing a cloud IT environment, advancing integrated construction project management, establishing a project data management system and adding new functions for private investment projects.
For the project, MegazoneCloud formed a consortium with HumanPlus, Gonggam IT and AENIAsOFT, companies it said have expertise in their respective fields. MegazoneCloud will oversee cloud-based architecture design and an operating framework. HumanPlus, a construction ERP specialist, will handle upgrades to work systems based on its experience building ERP and PMIS and PMS systems specialised in construction project management (CPMS and EPMS). Gonggam IT will build a data management system based on its capabilities in linking public data and managing data quality, and its GIS-based visualisation technology. AENIAsOFT will be responsible for migrating the existing system and integrated upgrades based on its experience building and upgrading information systems for multiple public institutions.
Jong-ha Park (박종하), head of the Enterprise Tech Unit at MegazoneCloud, said the project would go beyond a simple system upgrade and would consolidate the company's accumulated experience and technology as a specialist in AI and cloud transformation. He said the company plans to jointly build a world-class smart construction management system based on its partnership with Korea National Railway and to create results together on the global stage.
