Mirae Asset Securities said on Monday it made appointments for new division heads and its research centre head.

In the reshuffle, Kim Min-kyun (김민균), head of the investment strategy division, moved to become head of the WM STUDIO division, and Park Hee-chan (박희찬), research centre head, was appointed head of the investment strategy division. Park Yeon-joo (박연주), a director in the growth company analysis team, was named the new research centre head.

Mirae Asset Securities said it carried out the appointments to strengthen data marketing through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and to enhance customers' asset allocation capabilities.

Kim, head of the WM STUDIO division, is an expert who has led the investment strategy division based on deep insight into global financial markets and asset allocation strategy capabilities.

Park, head of the investment strategy division, has successfully overseen the research organisation by presenting macroeconomic and investment strategies based on in-depth analysis of domestic and overseas financial markets and the broader industry.

In particular, Park, the new research centre head, is an analyst who has provided specialised analysis focused on global innovative technology companies such as Tesla and Google. She becomes the first woman to be named research centre head since Mirae Asset Securities was founded.

A Mirae Asset Securities official said the company would continue to strengthen its competitiveness as a global investment specialist as it stands at the starting point of the "Mirae Asset 3.0" era. The official said it would contribute to customers' long-term wealth building based on the "Client First" principle.
