Korea AI Software Industry Association (KOSA) said on April 2 it signed an MOU with the Association of Artificial Intelligence Industry of Indonesia (AAIBI) to cooperate in the AI industry and support companies from both countries in entering global markets.

The signing ceremony took place at the Korea-Indonesia Business Forum at the Seoul Shilla Hotel, held on the occasion of an Indonesian presidential state visit to South Korea. Attendees included Han-koo Yeo (여한구), chief trade negotiator at South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Airlangga Hartarto (아이를랑가 하르타르토), Indonesia's coordinating minister for economic affairs; Junhee Cho (조준희), KOSA chairman; and Kim Ho (킴 호), AAIBI chairman.

The agreement was 추진됐다 to support domestic AI and software companies seeking to enter Indonesia's AI market and to lay the groundwork for digital cooperation with major Southeast Asian countries. The two organisations plan to continue cooperation centred on building networks between companies, identifying joint projects and cooperating on AI-based projects. They will also pursue expanding opportunities for Korean AI companies to enter the local market in response to rising demand in Indonesia for AX, and building cooperation models linked to practical commercialisation.

Cho said the agreement would serve as an important opportunity to step up AI industry cooperation between South Korea and Indonesia. He said he would actively support the two countries so that cooperation can lead to practical business partnerships and tangible results based on their technologies and market capabilities.
