Hancom said on Sunday it posted 2025 standalone revenue of 175.3 billion won and operating profit of 50.9 billion won, based on an internal year-end settlement filing. Revenue rose 10.2 percent from a year earlier and operating profit increased 2.4 percent.

The company emphasised the results were meaningful because they reflected a shift away from one-off package sales, helped by the market establishment of its AI agent product lineup such as Hancom Assistant and Hancom Pedia and the introduction of a new AI licensing system.

The company said it moved away from selling packaged software and introduced an AI-optimised licensing model under which users pay based on how much they use AI functions, or that is linked to a company’s size. It said Hancom Assistant in particular penetrated work environments in the public and financial sectors, strengthening its revenue base.

It also posted results in data-optimisation technology. It is taking part in the LG AI Research consortium for a science ministry-led project on an independent AI foundation model, led by its technology that converts unstructured document data into AI training data.

Hancom said it has mandated work innovation through company-wide AI transformation from 2025 and has moved to improve its internal structure. In 2026, Hancom plans to focus its technology resources on organically combining with global technology platforms and solidifying its position as an AI orchestration company that coordinates different AIs to collaborate. To do so, it plans to lead the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard that AI agents can use immediately, and pursue a Micro-Agent strategy under which small AI modules optimised for specific jobs organically combine with Hancom Assistant.

Hancom Chief Executive Kim Yeon-su (김연수) said, “The process itself — in which Hancom members directly experience AX innovation in depth, develop micro-agents and coordinate collaboration among agents — will become another new business model.” He said, “Hancom will now be reborn as a leading AI orchestration company that makes AI work most efficiently among global platforms and will lead the global AX market.”
