[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] AI embedded solutions company MDS Tech said on Feb. 19 it will provide a FIFA-designated official data and video streaming package to the domestic market, based on an official partnership with sports AI company Stats Perform.
Stats Perform signed a multi-year contract with FIFA in January and was selected as a distribution partner for FIFA official data and licensed streaming rights.
The contract includes official match data for major FIFA tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 (48 teams, 104 matches), as well as licensed real-time video streaming rights.
MDS Tech plans to supply World Cup official data and a real-time broadcast package to domestic media, digital platforms and sports information companies, while providing technical support and business linkages at the same time. Through this, it will support the spread of various business models, including real-time match information services, data-based content production, match statistics analysis programs and live score upgrades.
Official data provided through Stats Perform's soccer-focused data brand Opta includes high-precision event-based statistics such as real-time scores, detailed player and team statistics, match trackers and match insights.
