Kakao said on Monday it has added subsidies for using Baemin Store and Albamon to its subscription service Kakao Biz Membership, which brings together benefits that help small merchants run their stores. The company plans to strengthen practical support by adding benefits for services that small merchants use frequently, based on user feedback.

Kakao Biz Membership is a subscription service that provides, at a reasonable price, a package of benefits needed for business, from advertising and marketing to store operations and ingredient purchases. For 14,900 won per month, users can receive membership benefits worth up to 500,000 won. It launched a beta version in December last year and has been providing cost-saving effects mainly for food and beverage business operators, and plans to gradually expand eligible industries.

Kakao strengthened membership benefits by working with Baemin Store and Albamon, which small merchants use heavily. Members can additionally use a pack of 40,000 won discount coupons for Baemin Store, a shopping mall specializing in delivery supplies and food ingredients. They can also receive a 30,000 won subsidy for using Albamon recruitment advertising products Super Jump and Albamon Jet.

Existing benefits will remain in place. Users can access a 30,000 won Kakao advertising subsidy, 10,000 won in message sending costs for OKPOS customer management, a 62 percent discount on Revu experiential group marketing, a 60,000 won discount on Dinner Queen influencer marketing, three months free use and cost support for POSFEED and OtterPOS delivery order programs, and a pack of 20,000 won discount coupons for CJ Freshway's Fresh N ingredient mall.

Hwang Jun-yeon (황준연), a Kakao business domain leader, said Kakao Biz Membership focuses on providing practical support for small merchants by bundling into one the benefits they actually need in the course of running their stores. He said the company will continue to expand on-the-ground benefits and build a win-win ecosystem that helps small merchants grow.
