Lulumedic said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Upstage for a "large language model (LLM)-based service business applicable to medical mydata and the medical environment".

The collaboration was 추진됐다 to develop and commercialise AI solutions optimised for clinical settings by combining the two companies' core capabilities.

The companies plan to identify innovative models in the medical and healthcare sectors by combining Lulumedic's know-how in medical mydata with Upstage's LLM technology. Under the agreement, they decided to cooperate on jointly planning healthcare-specialised AI services, technical cooperation for the safe use of medical data, and participation in demonstration projects in the public and private sectors.

They will focus on developing solutions that can be used immediately in clinical settings, including electronic medical record (EMR) integration technology and services to support medical staff. They will also jointly participate in public projects and research and pilot projects led by the central government and public institutions, beyond the private market.

Kim Young-woong (김영웅), CEO of Lulumedic, said, "As a medical mydata specialised institution recognised by the state, we will maximise the value of medical data by combining our technology capabilities with the know-how of AI company Upstage." He added, "We will introduce innovative medical AI services that both medical staff and patients can use with confidence."
