Korea Investment Securities said on Thursday it will begin recruiting participants from Feb. 16 for the 15th university student simulated investment competition, HanTu MoTu Battle.
The contest consists of three leagues: individual returns on domestic stocks, team returns and a university rivalry league. Participants can enter more than one league.
The university rivalry league is introduced starting with this contest. It determines winners by adding up returns posted by students from the same school.
After the contest ends, prize money and certificates will be awarded to those ranked 1 to 10 in individual returns and 1 to 3 in team returns. A separate prize will also be paid to the university with the highest combined individual returns.
The top 1 to 5 winners in individual returns will also be offered an experiential internship opportunity at Korea Investment Securities and an exemption from the document screening stage for open recruitment. Winners ranked 1 to 3 in individual or team returns will be offered an opportunity to work as advertising models through digital signage at the company’s Yeouido headquarters.
