Woori Bank said on Feb. 12 it has upgraded its WooriWON Business app so sole proprietors can check financial information needed to run their businesses more easily and quickly.

The upgrade focuses on screen layout and service delivery so users can view information needed for business operations at a glance, moving beyond simple inquiry services.

It has newly introduced a dedicated service space for sole proprietors called the Boss Lounge. It brings together key functions needed for business operations, including cash management, loans, tax and consulting, simplifying user flows so customers can use the services without switching between multiple screens.

The main screen provides account balances and analytical information on recent deposits and withdrawals at the same time. It applies a user interface and user experience design that enables customers to visually check purchase and sales information for their business sites.

It also significantly expanded convenience features for sole proprietors. The bank added a My Loan Document Box that lets users recheck contracts completed when applying for non-face-to-face loans, and upgraded a corporate subscription service that provides market and investment information via notifications. It also introduced a comprehensive income tax refund inquiry service and a policy fund matching service to provide a wider range of information needed for business operations.

Woori Bank plans to further expand its services in April by adding a business registration service and providing a corporate mobile web service.

Jeong Dong-sik (정동식), head of Woori Bank's corporate finance platform department, said monthly active users of WooriWON Business surpassed 178,000 in December last year, growing more than 21 percent from a year earlier. He said the bank will continue to enhance the competitiveness of its corporate finance platform through the service upgrades and additional expansions planned for April.
