Webcash Global said on Monday its Vietnam unit, Webcash Vietnam, has joined hands with Vietnam-based electronic payment company VNPT e-Pay to pursue digital financial transformation for Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises.

Webcash Vietnam signed an MOU with VNPT e-Pay at its office in Ho Chi Minh City to cooperate on B2B fintech solutions.

Under the partnership, the companies will jointly 추진 an integrated B2B fintech service linking VNPT e-Pay’s POS system and payment gateway services with Webcash Vietnam’s electronic tax invoice solution, WeTax. They plan to build a service structure covering payments, tax and cash management to raise operating efficiency for Vietnamese small and medium-sized firms.

VNPT e-Pay plans to link its payment infrastructure to Webcash Vietnam’s fintech software-as-a-service solutions through API integration and step up sales and marketing cooperation using its existing merchant network. Webcash Vietnam also plans to apply VNPT e-Pay’s payment system to its solutions to provide customers with a more stable and convenient payment environment.

The companies said they expect the partnership to accelerate the spread of B2B fintech services and digital financial transformation centered on Vietnam’s SME market. They also expect to expand the scope of cooperation in stages and generate tangible business results.

Lee Cheol-woo (이철우), CEO of VNPT e-Pay, said the agreement is a starting point for combining payment infrastructure and B2B fintech services to provide practical value to Vietnamese corporate customers. He said the companies will combine their strengths to build competitive digital financial services in Vietnam’s SME market.

Lee Jae-hwan (이재환), head of Webcash Vietnam, said he expects cooperation with VNPT e-Pay to broaden the use of services that link payments and cash management centered on electronic tax invoices. He said the company will focus on improving operating efficiency and financial access for Vietnamese small and medium-sized firms.
