Ronghui Gu (룽후이 구), founder of blockchain smart contract auditing firm CertiK, said the company is accelerating its push into institutions. He made the remarks in an interview with CBS during the 2026 World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos.
He said YZi Labs, an investment-focused firm spun off from Binance, is currently CertiK's largest institutional investor.
Gu said, "The market still expects listings by Web3-native companies, and listings by infrastructure companies such as CertiK are even more meaningful." He said this would not only help the mainstream market better understand and adopt Web3 technology, but also symbolise trust and recognition from traditional industries and existing companies.
The company said security, transparency and risk visibility are emerging as key prerequisites for entering the sector as traditional finance firms and big companies seriously review Web3 adoption. Gu said Web3 has entered a new phase that demands "institutional-grade standards" and that CertiK has introduced the enterprise security platform, 'Skynet Enterprise', focused on institutional needs.
Skynet Enterprise is designed to meet transparency, risk visibility and data quality requirements from institutions and regulators. It turns complex on-chain activity into insights through real-time on-chain monitoring and alert systems and an analytics dashboard.
CertiK said it is working with multiple regulatory bodies to promote adoption and use of Skynet Enterprise. It said it will support the institutionalisation of the Web3 industry and the establishment of a compliance-based foundation.
