Nexters said on Oct. 23 that Finoa Consensus Service (FCS), a subsidiary of German digital-asset infrastructure company Finoa, has joined as a Onechain validator.

FCS will take part in block production, transaction verification and network security and maintenance on Onechain Mainnet 2.0.

Finoa is a digital-asset infrastructure company that supports institutional clients' participation in the on-chain market. Its subsidiary FCS is responsible for institutional staking and validator operations and has supported the buildout and operation of validation infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks.

A validator is an entity that verifies transactions on a blockchain network and participates in creating new blocks.

Onechain Mainnet 2.0, called Breakpoint, operates under a proof-of-staked-authority (PoSA) model in which validators are responsible for producing blocks. Validators meet staking requirements, keep nodes running at all times and take part in network operations.

Nexters has secured CertiK, HashKey Cloud, Stakin and Mblock as Onechain validators.

Jang Hyun-kuk (장현국), chief executive of Nexters, said validators from each field are jointly building Onechain's stability and credibility. He said the company will steadily increase external validators to expand the ecosystem.
