A newly activated XRP wallet received 82,314,668 XRP in a single transaction.
On Oct. 20, blockchain media outlet The Crypto Basic reported the transfer was worth more than $106 million, or about 140.8 billion won.
The on-chain address 'r3p...ybc' was activated for the first time on Oct. 20 after receiving 82,314,668 XRP. About 12 hours later, the same amount remained in the address, and no outgoing transactions were confirmed.
The sending address also holds a large amount of XRP. The 'rN1...8uo' address still held about 142.7 million XRP after sending 82.31 million. As of that day, it was valued at about $184 million, or roughly 244.4 billion won. The transfer was also the wallet’s first recorded external transaction since May 20.
Transaction records show multiple transfers of XRP to the same address. In November 2025, it transferred 10 XRP, followed 10 days later by 73 million XRP. It then sent an additional 59.6 million XRP on Dec. 4, 2025, and 73.9 million XRP on Dec. 12. Large transfers of around 73 million XRP continued in 2026. The pattern shows this move is an extension of months of large XRP reallocation flows between wallets that appear to be connected.
Market attention is focused on who controls the funds. A top address, rpx...ZY1, appears to have been activated by a wallet linked to an exchange. That has raised scenarios that it could be an XRP whale managing funds through Binance, and that Binance may have rebalanced funds between its wallets.
Neither case is confirmed. An address being linked to an exchange does not mean it is owned by the exchange, and transfers between addresses do not immediately imply buying or selling.
The move also coincides with recent large fund transfers on the XRP Ledger. On Sept. 11, XRP worth about $165 million moved through transactions of at least 1 million XRP, recorded as the largest daily figure since late February 2026. The 82.31 million XRP transfer adds another case of such large moves.
