Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin RLUSD has started trading on Turkiye crypto custody platform Inveo Kripto.

Blockchain outlet U.Today reported on Oct. 20 that this is the first time RLUSD has been distributed in Turkiye through a bank-custody platform.

Inveo Kripto introduced RLUSD simultaneously on its mobile application, web platform and over-the-counter (OTC) service. Individual and institutional investors in Turkiye can now buy and sell RLUSD through multiple channels.

Retail investors can trade RLUSD on the mobile and web platforms. Platform operators, including institutional investors, can access RLUSD liquidity through Inveo Kripto’s OTC service. Linking retail and institutions through a bank-custody structure is the key to the launch.

Ripple secured a foothold to broaden RLUSD distribution and expand its investor base in Turkiye through the tie-up. Inveo Kripto also introduced RLUSD to its main services, completed its first trade and entered full-scale operations.

RLUSD is also expected to be used more widely. Inveo Kripto’s provision of liquidity to retail and institutional investors and other platforms has improved access to RLUSD. That has increased the possibility of its use in Turkiye not only for trading but also for payments and digital asset settlement.

Still, it remains to be seen whether trading support will lead to broader real-world use. Retail trading and institutional demand for liquidity must continue for RLUSD to take root in the local market. Expanding its use in payments and digital asset settlement will also require links to related services, in addition to securing trading channels.

Ripple has recently expanded partnerships with major global companies, growing its ecosystem. Against that backdrop, the Inveo Kripto tie-up has been added as another case of widening RLUSD’s global distribution network. With mobile, web and OTC channels opening at the same time in Turkiye, attention is expected to focus on how much RLUSD’s local trading volume and institutional demand increase.
