A technical analysis said Cardano (ADA) could rise by as much as 73.5 percent more if it regains $0.278 on the weekly chart.
Blockchain media outlet The Crypto Basic reported on Oct. 17 that crypto analyst Giannis Andreou (지아니스 안드레우) sees ADA forming a cup-and-handle pattern on the weekly chart.
Andreou pointed to $0.278 as the key price level. He assessed that ADA formed a rounded base after rebounding last month from the $0.14 to $0.16 zone. He said a bullish trend would be confirmed only if a weekly candle closes above $0.278 and the level then holds as support. He said this requires not just a break above the level but a close and a retest.
He cited $0.3633 and $0.3995 as the next target prices. Andreou set a target of $0.416 based on the depth of the cup, which is 73.5 percent above the reference price of $0.239. He said further gains could open the way to $0.5116, $0.8059 and $0.9601. The highest target on the chart is $1.3291.
Another view also pointed to a short-term rebound. Sheldon, an analyst at Crypto Banter, predicted Cardano could return to an upward trend within the next 7 to 10 days. He said current market weakness could last another 1 to 2 weeks before crypto broadly rebounds sharply, and ADA could turn higher again after the correction phase ends.
Market commentator George raised the possibility that Cardano could stage a rebound similar in form to Solana. He cited Solana's rise from $8 in 2022 to an all-time high of $294 in 2025. He said whether Cardano actually rebounds depends on sustained buying and broader market conditions.
The bullish outlook also carries downside risks. Andreou said losing the rising support line could weaken the current setup, and a breakdown below the $0.14 to $0.16 base would damage the pattern itself. He said target prices laid out before a break above $0.278 should be seen as a conditional scenario rather than a confirmed outlook.
The near-term variables for ADA are ultimately clear. As the market digests bearish pressure, the starting point for a technical rebound scenario is whether ADA can regain $0.278 on a weekly closing basis and then confirm the same level as support.
$ADA: A WEEKLY CUP AND HANDLE TAKING SHAPE? $ADA’s recovery from $0.14–$0.16 resembles a rounded base, with a potential handle forming below $0.278. The trigger is a weekly close above $0.278 followed by a successful retest. Until then, the pattern remains unconfirmed. A breakout would put $0.3633 and $0.3995 in focus, with an approximate cup-depth target near $0.416. Beyond that, resistance sits at $0.5116, $0.8059 and $0.9601 before $1.3291. Losing rising support would weaken the setup. A breakdown below the $0.14–$0.16 base would undermine it.
