Visa will support a USDC prefunding service through its remittance and payments service Visa Direct, The Block reported on Oct. 16.
The report said Innyo Global will be the first among Visa Direct processors to provide the USDC prefunding service to its clients.
Prefunding is a method in which a company preloads funds before making overseas payments. Innyo clients can now preload those funds in USDC. They can use them for cross-border remittances even after bank business hours end.
Innyo has remittance firms, fintech companies, banks and payments companies as clients. It provides client onboarding, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance, and payment collection services. It also processes domestic and cross-border payouts in more than 180 countries through Visa Direct.
Robson Dantas (롭슨 단타스), co-founder and chief product and technology officer at Innyo Global, said it offers a new way for clients to fund payouts around the clock using APIs they already use.
Visa began testing stablecoin prefunding with USDC and EURC in September 2025. In November that year it ran a payout test allowing recipients to receive USDC directly.
Visa said in August this year it would work with Zero Hash to support stablecoin deposits and payouts on Visa Direct. Earlier this month, it ran a seven-day USDC test with Lloyds Bank and settled $750,000 in payment funds. Vera Platonova (비라 플라토노바), global head of Visa Direct, said, "The next stage for stablecoins is real adoption."
