[Digital Today reporter Hyunwoo Choo (추현우)] XRP is being tested for a rebound near its 200-day simple moving average. Decrypto, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Thursday that if XRP regains the zone and turns it into support, it could rise to around $3.20 based on a similar pattern to the 2023 rebound.
XRP is trading around $1.31. The 200-day simple moving average is about $1.37, leaving XRP about 4 percent below it. It is not a setup where XRP is supported above the 200-day line, but a phase where it must first reclaim the line.
A similar pattern played out in 2023. XRP broke above the area around $0.40 where the 200-day simple moving average sat in March, then slid back to the same moving-average zone in May, briefly fell below it and later regained it. The May low was about $0.4217, and $0.40 was presented as the key support zone.
XRP later rose to about $0.938 on July 13, up about 134.5 percent from $0.40. The rise was not driven by the 200-day line alone. The uptrend strengthened after a court ruling on the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple, while the 200-day line served as a technical foundation beforehand.
The current 200-day simple moving average is about $1.3665. Applying the same 134.5 percent rise as in 2023 would put XRP at about $3.20. The article said this is not a fixed outlook but a simple calculation comparing past moves.
For XRP to rise from the current $1.31 to $3.20, it would need to gain about 145 percent. That level is below XRP's 2025 peak of $3.66. The $3.20 scenario is therefore closer to a sharp recovery than a new record high.
For the comparison to hold, XRP must first climb back above the 200-day simple moving average. It must then hold the level as it retests the area around $1.37. If trading continues below the 200-day line, the line may act as overhead resistance rather than support, raising the possibility of further declines.
