Korea Investment Trust Management has introduced InvestmentPlus (TO+), a new investment platform that allows users to compare exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and mutual funds in one place and conduct simulated investing.

Korea Investment Trust Management said on Tuesday it had launched InvestmentPlus (TO+), which integrates domestically listed ETFs and domestic mutual funds for search and comparison.

InvestmentPlus is designed to let users find related products based on areas of interest and investment objectives, even if they do not know a specific product name. Users with limited investing experience can start from topics of interest such as specific industries including AI and semiconductors, the U.S. market or dividends and then explore products.

The platform consists of four areas: investment product discovery, product comparison, investment experience and investment management.

Its product comparison function allows users to see at a glance the characteristics and differences between ETFs and mutual funds. It also offers an "easy comparison folder" that groups products by theme for users who find it difficult to choose products to compare.

In the investment experience section, users can review investing methods and changes in performance before committing real funds. It provides simulated investing and an "investment time machine" function.

The investment time machine is a function that assumes an investment in a product at a certain point in the past, then lets users check returns up to the present and compare the results of different investment choices.

In simulated investing, users can buy and sell products with virtual funds and track changes in assets over time. In the investment management area, users can view items including watchlist products, investment packages and investment solutions in one place.

Ryu Ji-hae (류지해), head of the digital strategy division at Korea Investment Trust Management, said: "For beginner investors, it is a difficult issue to figure out what products to look into and what criteria to use for comparison." He added: "We will continue to provide a range of services so that investors can invest for the long term in areas with future growth potential."
