LG HelloVision said on Tuesday it ran the "2026 Hello, Companion Independence Camp" to help youths preparing for independence settle into society.
The camp was held with Save the Children for 2 days starting on Oct. 9. Fifteen youths preparing for independence from the North Jeolla region took part, along with mentors and others.
Participants joined a skills-building programme at Jeonju Saeum Center linked to a professional psychological counselling organisation. They also received career mentoring from working professionals such as nurses and writers. At Everland in Yongin, they took part in team-based activities to interact with peers and build relationships.
Since 2021, LG HelloVision has provided free Hello Mobile mobile service fees worth 65,000 won a month for 2 years to youths preparing for independence through its "Hello Companion" programme.
Roh Seong-rae (노성래), head of External Cooperation and ESG at LG HelloVision, said the company would continue its support so young people can take their first step into society in a stable way.
