[Digital Today reporter Jin-ho Lee] LG Uplus said on Saturday it ran a generative AI content production training program for 18 top performers from its creator community, U+BOOSTUS.
In the training held on Oct. 2 at Google Korea’s office in Seoul’s Gangnam district, participants used Google’s generative AI Gemini to plan content and produce and edit videos. They also learned how to develop content topics and story structures and how to flesh out ideas needed for production.
The program also shared considerations when using AI, based on real content production cases. Participants reviewed ways to use AI as an assistant tool suited to their areas of activity and the characteristics of their channels. An office tour of Google Korea and a networking program were also held. Participants heard an explanation of changes in digital content and AI technology and shared production experience among creators.
U+BOOSTUS is a creator community LG Uplus has operated since 2023. Creators directly experience LG Uplus products and services and introduce them through their channels. About 260 creators are currently active. The number of pieces of content produced so far totals about 4,700. Cumulative views stand at about 150 million, with 1.18 million engagements recorded.
LG Uplus is running content production training, networking and visits to global technology companies through season 5 this year. In September, it visited Meta’s office in Tokyo, Japan, with 12 top performers and held a content production workshop and a global creator trend session.
Kim Hee-jin (김희진), head of the brand marketing team at LG Uplus, said creators’ ability to use AI is becoming important. He said the company will continue to support U+BOOSTUS creators so they can apply AI to actual content planning and production processes and enhance their creative competitiveness.
