GS ITM said on Wednesday it is pursuing a spin-off of its software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform business subsidiary, GS Bizple.
The company said the move is a governance restructuring aimed at strengthening expertise in each business unit and creating an independent foundation for growth.
The company plans to carry out the spin-off on Dec. 1. GS Bizple, established in October 2024 through a corporate split, provides the cloud-based human resources management solution U.STRA HR and the integrated ticketing solution U.STRA TICKET, among others.
After the split, GS Bizple will build a base for raising investment and focus on upgrading its core solutions. It also plans to step up efforts to target the public sector market.
GS ITM plans to strengthen competitiveness and service quality in its core IT services businesses, including system integration (SI), system management (SM), AX, security and IDC.
GS ITM Chief Executive Min-gyun Kang (강민균) said, "This restructuring is a strategic decision to maximise each company’s strengths by having both focus on their core businesses." He added, "We will raise expertise by business unit and create sustainable corporate value."
