Stage Five unveiled a strategy to combine Web3 and digital assets with telecom services to lower barriers to entry for users.
Stage Five said on Sept. 30 that it introduced examples of combining Web3 and telecom services and its future business direction in a keynote speech at The Bridge Summit 2026 on Sept. 28.
Under the theme of "The start of telecommunications is the start of Web3," Stage Five presented touchpoints between telecommunications and digital finance. It said linking rewards and digital assets to essential telecom infrastructure would allow users to experience Web3 services without separate onboarding procedures.
It also introduced its in-house AI telecom platform STAGE-ON as a foundational platform. STAGE-ON is a business-to-business software-as-a-service platform that integrates management of the entire telecom business process, from sign-up and activation to line management, settlement and customer service. Stage Five said companies across industries such as blockchain, finance, distribution, gaming and mobility can use STAGE-ON to design and operate their own telecom services.
As an example of Web3 integration, it cited MILES CLUB. MILES CLUB is a telecom service brand of The Miles, a joint venture established by Stage Five and Keyinside. Its flagship product, the "Milk-only 5G plan," is linked to Milk, a blockchain-based points integration platform, so users can be rewarded for remaining mobile data in Milkcoin and use it in Web3 services.
Stage Five plans to further combine Web3 elements such as real-world assets (RWA) and stablecoins with its telecom services. It plans to link rewards based on telecom usage performance to digital asset wallets and payments, and to support stablecoin-based payments and settlements.
Stage Five CEO Sang-won Seo (서상원) said, "As telecommunications is infrastructure that everyone uses every day, it can be the most effective link to lower the threshold for Web3."
