Transit cards can now be delivered immediately through Baemin B마트. Woowa Brothers said on Monday it will sell T-Money transit cards on its quick commerce service Baemin B마트 from Oct. 1. Woowa Brothers, which operates Baedal Minjok, has expanded its deliverable product lineup by adding transit cards to items that had focused on groceries and daily necessities.

T-Money will expand its sales channels beyond its official online mall. This is the first time T-Money has partnered with an online channel outside its own store to sell transit cards. Transit cards have mostly been purchased at offline locations such as convenience stores and subway stations. With the Baemin B마트 launch, consumers can order from home and receive them right away.

Baemin B마트 will sell a total of eight items. It will offer two versions of the 'Everyone’s Card (K-Pass)', which provides refunds for public transportation fares, and two collaboration transit cards featuring Kakao Friends characters. Products made in collaboration with Sanrio Characters include three silicone key ring types and one plush key ring. The company said it broadened consumer choice by offering both standard cards and character products.

Kakao Friends and Sanrio Characters hold popular character intellectual property rights (IP) known for 'Hello Kitty' and other characters. Collaboration products using these characters add collectability to transit card functionality. Baemin B마트 plans to continue expanding the range of products it handles through quick commerce.

A Baemin official said, "We prepared this service so that transit cards, which were mainly purchased offline, can now be received easily and quickly at home," and added, "We will continue to expand the quick commerce product range to enhance customer experience and convenience."
