Hancom said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Daegu Public Facilities Management Corp to build AI-based innovative administrative services.

The two sides will conduct a proof of concept through Nov. 30 to apply AI technology to administrative work. Hancom will support system design and technology and service development using its AI technologies, including large language models and vision AI.

Hancom stressed that providing and using unstructured data such as reports and work manuals accumulated by the corporation is key to the cooperation. The two sides plan to link the corporation’s unstructured documents with Hancom AI solutions to check whether AI can effectively use job knowledge in public facility management, and to verify response accuracy and administrative task-specific functions.

They will jointly identify AI-based intelligent services to improve the quality of public services. They also plan to cooperate in using public data held by the corporation and to explore various joint projects using AI technology in the future.

Jae-nam Choi (최재남), head of Hancom’s Public AI Business Division, said the agreement is a meaningful starting point to apply Hancom’s AI technology to real public administration work and verify its effectiveness. He said Hancom will work with Daegu Public Facilities Management Corp to build an AI-based administrative innovation model that can be felt in the field and expand it to various public sectors.
