Dlive revamps viewer committee, shifts to monthly meetings

Dlive, the largest cable TV operator in the Seoul metropolitan area, said on Thursday it has reorganised its viewer committee and held a kickoff meeting. The meeting at its Samseong-dong headquarters drew 30 committee members, 10 from each of three subsidiaries. The move follows revisions to the Broadcasting Act promulgated in August last year. Dlive shortened the meeting cycle from quarterly to monthly and strengthened eligibility requirements.

Korea Internet Newspaper Association appoints Heo Yoon-cheol as secretary general

The Korea Internet Newspaper Association said it promoted Heo Yoon-cheol from head of its secretariat to secretary general on Jan. 2. He graduated from the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting at Pusan National University and earned master’s and doctoral degrees at its graduate school. He joined the association in 2021 and has won multiple academic paper awards. He has served as a director of several academic societies and held advisory and committee roles at the National Assembly and media organisations.
