Bammitongwi supports creators\' overseas IP business, posts 10 billion won in talks

The Broadcasting Media Communications Committee and the Radio Promotion Association of Korea said they supported Korean digital creators\' participation in the 2026 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The support produced 155 business matchings between Korean creators and overseas companies and contract talks worth about $6.65 million, or 10.03 billion won. Ten creator teams across multiple genres took part. Consultations and contract talk amounts rose from a year earlier.

Awards finalised for radio wave regulation reform contest to speed relief for on-site hurdles

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT has finalised the winners of its contest for ideas to improve regulations in the radio wave sector, aimed at easing difficulties felt by the public and industry in the field. The contest ran from March 17 to April 7 and drew 330 proposals. After screening and evaluation by a panel of government and private-sector experts, the ministry selected five winning ideas and said it would conduct follow-up reviews.

SpaceX faces key deadlines for 2027 Starlink Mobile and 2028 space data centers

SpaceX has set out a detailed roadmap in its S-1 filing for an IPO, covering Starship, Starlink, space data centers and an expanded AI investment schedule. It expects Starship to begin orbital transport missions carrying real payloads from the second half of 2026, with a next test flight set for May 22. The filing also outlines deployments of V3 and V2 satellites, a 2027 timeline for Starlink Mobile, and plans to place solar-powered orbital data centers as early as 2028.
