FSC launches private advisory panel to counter AI security threats, to review network segmentation
South Korea\'s Financial Services Commission on Sunday launched a private-sector technical advisory panel to respond to security threats linked to high-performance artificial intelligence. The panel held its first meeting with officials from the Financial Supervisory Service and the Financial Security Institute. It will review expected risks, policy and institutional measures, and steps to strengthen security frameworks, including detailed reviews of easing network segmentation rules. It will also assess financial firms\' readiness for AI security testing.

Scope Information Communications took part in the integrated security exhibition SECON & eGISEC 2026 held at KINTEX in Ilsan from March 18 to 20, showcasing next-generation network security solutions. It set up a combined booth spanning the SECON and eGISEC zones. The company said its IPScan HomeGuard, a dedicated solution to separate networks between apartment households, drew strong attention. IPScan NAC also attracted interest.

SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon vows companywide AI overhaul, will not miss \'golden time\'
SK Telecom CEO Jung Jae-heon said the company will not miss the \"golden time\" to adapt to AI and will redesign its top telecom DNA into AI DNA. He outlined plans to rebuild integrated IT systems and security around AI, pursue autonomous network operations and change internal work processes. SKT also plans to build AI data-centre infrastructure nationwide, expand it to more than 1 GW, and upgrade its in-house AI models.
