Tesla Q3 delivery forecasts diverge, seen at 420,000 to 482,000

Apple gears up for major hardware, software push in October

Apple is preparing a major product launch schedule in October, starting with the foldable iPhone Duo, according to NineToFiveMac. Preorders are set to begin on Oct. 16, with first deliveries on Oct. 23, and availability planned across nearly 100 countries and regions. Markets also expect new Macs, home products and an iPad mini update. On software, Apple confirmed iPhone Duo will ship with iOS 27.1, while iOS 27.2 is already in testing.

Xpeng surpasses 80 percent automation in robot production, says Iron walks off line after assembly

China EV maker Xpeng has started a new production line for its humanoid robot Iron and released footage showing the robot walking off the line after assembly. The company said more than 80 percent of key processes are automated and that it will apply its car quality-control system to keep output consistent as volumes rise. Xpeng aims to begin mass production by the end of this year and plans initial deployments at its stores and campus.
