Naver Cloud targets defence AX with sovereign full stack linking models, data and cloud
Naver Cloud plans to target South Korea\'s defence AI transformation market by promoting sovereign AI, in which the military directly controls data and AI models, and full-stack capabilities spanning infrastructure, models, data platforms and applications. The company plans to deploy field engineers into closed military networks to refine technology using real military data and mission environments. Executives presented approaches including world models, data fabric and ontology, and a defence-specialised cloud connecting central and field sites.

Hitachi Vantara named leader and fast mover in GigaOm unstructured data management report
HS Hyosung Information System said on Sunday that market research firm GigaOm named Hitachi Vantara a leader and a fast mover in its 2026 GigaOm Unstructured Data Management Radar report. It said the integrated data platform VSP One was highly rated for unified data management, policy automation, and operational visibility and efficiency. The report cited strengths including stronger unstructured data governance, enterprise workflow integration, and expansion of an integrated data fabric.

Cisco to buy identity security firm Widefield to bolster Splunk agentic SOC
Cisco will acquire identity lifecycle security company Widefield Security, SecurityWeek reported on June 19. The move is aimed at strengthening Splunk agentic SOC capabilities, and the purchase price was not disclosed. Widefield raised more than $11 million in a Series A round last year. The company provides technology to discover human and non-human identities, map exposure across accounts and roles, and assess weak points in account and privilege management.
