GitHub limits pull requests to curb flood of low-quality code in AI era
GitHub has introduced a feature that lets repository administrators limit how many pull requests users without write access can keep open at the same time. The change is aimed at addressing a surge in low-quality contributions following the spread of generative AI, while keeping channels for outside participation open. GitHub said the cap can reduce unnecessary code reviews and continuous integration workload, and it is considering further automatic easing based on account and contribution history.

OpenAI launches Symphony agent orchestration layer for Codex
OpenAI on April 28 unveiled Symphony, an open-source specification that connects Codex agents to development tasks registered in work management tools such as Jira and Linear. The company said Symphony lets agents pull work directly from issue trackers, run it in separate workspaces, monitor continuous integration and prepare changes for human review. OpenAI said some internal teams saw merged pull requests rise 500 percent in three weeks after adoption.

Metanet Digital begins building private cloud-based local tax disaster recovery system
Metanet Digital said on Jan. 27 it signed a contract with the Korea Local Information Research and Development Institute to build a cloud-based next-generation local tax disaster recovery system and has begun full-scale work. The project will establish a disaster recovery structure on a container-based private cloud platform. Metanet Digital plans to expand a Red Hat OpenShift-based platform, apply TmaxTibero DBMS and use its MetaCICD solution to automate real-time deployment and operations across main and DR centres.
