CERN makes first truck transport of antimatter
The European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, has succeeded for the first time in transporting antimatter by truck. CERN said its BASE experiment team moved 92 antiprotons, using a portable container designed to store and carry antimatter under high vacuum and cryogenic conditions. The truck travelled more than 8 km for about 30 minutes. Researchers aim to measure antiproton properties in a more stable environment and plan longer transfers, including a 700 km trip in 2029.
