Snapdragon Summit 2026: Industry standard needed for cross-device connectivity, considering adding 5G to AI glasses
Aggregating user data collected by watches, earbuds and AI glasses into a single device to run AI is emerging as a key challenge for wearable connectivity, as users combine iPhones, Android phones, Windows PCs and multiple wearable brands. Qualcomm says sharing information across devices needs an industry standard beyond operating system boundaries. It is developing software and a framework to share context and device capabilities, and is also reviewing adding 5G directly to AI glasses.
