New York, Wyoming streamline reviews of crypto firms, step up regulatory cooperation
Financial regulators in the U.S. states of New York and Wyoming have agreed to cooperate more closely in overseeing cryptocurrency companies. The New York State Department of Financial Services and the Wyoming Division of Banking signed a memorandum of understanding covering licensing, examinations and enforcement. The deal includes sharing review materials and past examination data, coordinating inspection schedules and pursuing joint examinations. Some firms may qualify for an expedited review track, with a target decision within 6 months.
