Mirae Asset Management confirms data leak after web system breach; says no customer or financial loss

Mirae Asset Management said it confirmed that information was leaked after abnormal access by an unauthorised external party to some of its web systems. It said it blocked the access routes, activated an emergency response and reported the incident to South Korea’s Financial Services Commission and Financial Supervisory Service. The company said there was no sign of direct intrusion into servers or databases and no financial damage, malware infection or service disruption.

Piolink says AI hacking spreads, calls for multilayer defenses with CTEM and web firewalls

Piolink said cyberattacks targeting the financial sector using AI tools are increasing and called for a multilayer defense combining continuous threat exposure management (CTEM), web application firewalls and 24-hour security monitoring. It said CTEM continuously identifies exposed attack surfaces and validates real attack likelihood to set response priorities. Piolink said its BlueHunter platform implements CTEM and that its WebFront-K provides signatures to detect and block ARTEX-related attacks.

SKT expands managed AI cloud security services with F5

SK Telecom is expanding its AI cloud security business in cooperation with global security company F5. The company plans to strengthen competitiveness by handling not only sales of F5 security solutions but also customer deployment and operations. Under the partnership, SKT will pursue a dual role as a value-added reseller and a managed service provider using F5 solutions. SKT was also selected as the first domestic MSP partner for F5 Distributed Cloud.
