World of data labelling workers powering AI World Cup
AI technology is being widely deployed at the FIFA World Cup in North America, leading some tech media to call it an AI World Cup. It includes a sensor-equipped ball, real-time tracking, AI-based offside decisions and AI assistants for each of the 48 teams. A report said the work relies on data workers in countries such as India, Cambodia and the Philippines who watch video and tag actions like passes, shots and tackles so AI can learn.
