David Schwartz rejects Bitcoin Knots attack claim, says it misleads investors
Ripple veteran developer and XRP Ledger designer David Schwartz criticised Bitcoin Knots for describing a recent chain split as an attack on the Bitcoin network after a failed attempt to activate BIP-110. Some nodes that enforced the proposal continued applying its rules and split from the main Bitcoin chain backed by most miners. The minority chain lagged far behind in block height and saw block times stretch to hours, while the main chain continued normally.

Dinari supports trading of over 700 tokenised stocks with USDC on self-custody wallets
Dinari said it will allow eligible U.S. investors to trade more than 700 tokenised stocks using USDC through self-custody wallets. The Block reported Dinari has partnered with Circle to let U.S. individuals and companies buy and sell all S&P 500 constituents directly on-chain. Dinari CEO and co-founder Gabriel Otte said the launch keeps traditional capital-market safeguards while enabling smoother movement between stablecoins and U.S. stocks.

World Chain to add EIP-7928 BAL on mainnet on Aug 17, support up to 1 gigagas per second
Ethereum layer-2 network World Chain, co-founded by Sam Altman, said it will become the first commercial layer-2 blockchain to stream EIP-7928 Block Access Lists within Flashblocks. The feature will be introduced on its mainnet on Aug. 17. Flashblocks, developed by expanding Flashbots’ Rollup Boost technology for the OP Stack, releases partial block data about every 200 milliseconds. The upgrade aims to enable parallel validation and target throughput of up to 1 gigagas per second.
