When will Steam Deck 2 launch? Valve says it is waiting for a chip capable of a generational leap
Valve has not fixed a launch timing for its next handheld game device, the Steam Deck 2, it said. The company is keeping its principle of releasing a new model only when a generational leap is possible, including better battery life and power efficiency rather than a simple performance boost. Designer Pierre-Loup Griffais said Valve is reviewing when and how it can offer such a product and is not rushing release until suitable hardware arrives.
