Applied Materials launches new tools to improve AI chip performance
Applied Materials has introduced two new semiconductor process systems aimed at addressing uniformity challenges in high-stack 3D chip structures as demand for AI chips grows. The company unveiled the Centris Spectral SiN atomic layer deposition system and the Producer Selectra molybdenum etch system. It said the tools support transitions to vertical chip architectures such as GAA transistors and high-stack 3D NAND by improving deposition and etch uniformity in deep, narrow structures.

Hancom InSpace completes first contact with hyperspectral satellite Sejong 3
Hancom InSpace said it successfully established ground-station communications with Sejong 3, which it described as South Korea\'s first privately developed hyperspectral satellite. The satellite was launched on March 30 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Hancom InSpace said initial contact confirmed the satellite body and system status were normal. It plans cluster operations with existing Sejong-series satellites and an AI platform to expand tailored data services.

Pearl Abyss unveils platform performance details for new title Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss said on March 11 it has disclosed hardware requirements and gameplay performance information for its new title Crimson Desert ahead of its global launch. Players can check expected gameplay environments by platform, including PC, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. The company detailed minimum, recommended and top-end PC specifications and graphics presets, as well as console graphics modes. The game is set for a worldwide release on March 20.
