Singapore pilots dating platform for civil servants amid 0.87 fertility rate
Singapore has begun a pilot run of FirstDate, a dating service for singles aged 21 to 35 that is currently limited to civil servants and other public-service workers. The service, developed from an idea proposed by Government Technology Agency staff at an annual hackathon, offers only one match per cycle. Users enter survey responses on interests and preferences, and matches are delivered by text message with a 72-hour decision window.
