Ajinomoto plans major capacity expansion as demand surges for ABF material used in Nvidia, AMD AI chips
Ajinomoto said it can meet demand until 2030 for ABF, a key material used in AI semiconductor packaging. The company is prioritising capacity expansion over price increases and is securing its next production base. Chief executive Shigeo Nakamura said demand beyond 2030 could become uncertain if AI-related demand grows faster than expected. Ajinomoto said it will focus on expanding output, while monitoring rising input costs and technology shifts.
