Hana Financial to improve graves and visiting environment at Seoul and Daejeon national cemeteries
Hana Financial Group will work with South Korea\'s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to refurbish aging headstones and improve the visiting environment at national cemeteries. The group signed a business agreement on Aug. 10 at Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak district to mark the 81st anniversary of liberation. The project covers about 2,000 stone markers at areas including the patriots\' section at Daejeon National Cemetery and the service members\' section at Seoul National Cemetery. It also plans to install 15 smart shade shelters.

KB Financial steps up support for national merit recipients ahead of Memorial Day
KB Financial Group is expanding veterans-related support ahead of South Korea’s 71st Memorial Day, it said on Thursday. KB Kookmin Bank carried out volunteer work at Seoul National Cemetery and will launch a remittance cheque service for overseas recipients of veterans benefits on June 8, waiving issuance fees. KB Capital continues a cane-support programme for Korean War veterans. The group also backs descendants of independence activists and provides scholarships for children of fallen or injured public servants.

KB Kookmin Bank maintains graves at Seoul national cemetery ahead of Patriots and Veterans Month
KB Kookmin Bank visited the Seoul National Cemetery ahead of Patriots and Veterans Month and carried out volunteer work to maintain gravesites. The bank said about 80 employees and family members took part in the activity on May 30. Participants cleaned headstones, removed weeds, collected withered flowers and placed South Korean flags at a total of 1,587 graves. The bank has held the activity regularly each year since signing a sisterhood agreement in 2012.
