[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] KB Kookmin Bank visited the Seoul National Cemetery ahead of Patriots and Veterans Month and carried out volunteer work to maintain gravesites.

KB Kookmin Bank said on June 1 that about 80 employees and family members carried out the activity at the Seoul National Cemetery on May 30.

Employees and family members cleaned headstones, removed weeds, collected withered flowers and placed South Korean flags at a total of 1,587 gravesites.

KB Kookmin Bank has continued the gravesite maintenance volunteer work regularly each year since signing a sisterhood agreement with the Seoul National Cemetery in 2012.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We are able to enjoy a peaceful daily life thanks to the noble sacrifice of those who died defending the country." The official added, "We will strive to spread a proper veterans remembrance culture and fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
